Higher Load Carrying Capacity
Since its first supplied sliding bearing to the Italian market, Technymon has broadened its range to many fields of the industry.
Technymon sliding bearings are nowadays being used in broad variety of applications and industries, such as automotive, hydraulic pumps, cylinders, renewable energy, gearboxes, valves, actuators etc. Placing an emphasis on performance and product quality, the company's business developed in accordance with these industries.
In all these above mentioned applications, sliding bearings are being used to support different types of shaft loads while in some cases sliding bearings are used mainly for alignment purposes. Sliding bearings can be used in machinery for operating in a static condition to very high dynamic condition. In regular cases sliding bearings consist of a bearing bore that is normally circular and inside of which a circular shaft is slide, rotated or oscillated. At zero speed, under a steady load condition, the shaft outer diameter touches the bottom of the sliding bearing bore and when the shaft start to rotates, due to high static friction small amount of solid lubricants are getting transferred to the surface of outer diameter of the shaft, under normal operating conditions there is no metal-to-metal contact but if the load increases drastically with speed there is a chance that metal to metal contact will happen and the sliding layer of self lubricated composite sliding bearing will get damaged.
Solutions offered by Technymon:
In certain industries such as agriculture, industrial, oil & gas, the sliding bearing needs to bear such a high load, which a conventional bearing could not carry, and therefore a special composite bearing material is required. At Technymon we developed a compatible material to combines mechanical strength and chemical resistance, due to its structure. It contains PTFE low friction characteristic and we are proud to announce that our material can withstand the load maximum up to 400 N/mm2 in static conditions and 180 N/mm2 in dynamic conditions with the friction factor low as 0.03 to 0.15. Our materials Fritex C, Fritex-B, Fritex 316, Fritex F51, & Fritex 625 are not only capable to bear the high load but are also resistant to chemicals, industrial fluids and gases.
Additional advantages of Technymon sliding bearings:
- High load carrying capacity
- Resistant to shocks and impacts
- High withstanding capacity to edge loading
- Good damping characteristics
- High wear resistance
- Dirt resistant
- Wide operating temperature range
- Low-maintenance
