Application Engineering
HOW WE CREATE DIFFERENCE
At Technymon we focus on continuous Research & Development to bring new and effective solutions for the different applications needed for our customers. We know the challenges our customers face during various stages i.e. starting from the selection of the right bearing to its assembly. With this in mind our technical team of highly skilled engineers look after each and every aspect of the implementation in order to deliver the perfect solution for our customers.
HOW WE PLAN & INVEST IN OUR NEW PROJECTS
Within each strategy, which has an allocation of resources, we closely collaborate with our customers to develop proposals that align with our strategic priorities and the organization’s focus and capabilities. An important part of this process is reaching agreement on what success will look like for the investment.
We use a standard four-phase process to develop new projects. The duration of each phase depends on the complexity of the project as well as the capacity and requirement of the customer.
HOW WE MEASURE AND EVALUATE RESULTS TO MAKE PROGRESS
From the outset of the process, we partner with our customers to define the overall results we hope to achieve and the data needed to measure those results. We call this approach outcome solution.
To give our customer flexibility in how they achieve results, we do not need them to report on all of their activities. Instead, we focus on purposefully measuring the most critical metrics of progress that support continued learning, adjustment and alignment. However, the nature and frequency of measurement depends on the type of operation assembly and application.
Evaluation is another collaborative learning tool that provides us and our customer with feedback so we can improve, adjust, and decide how best to achieve outcomes. We ensure that our customers have the capacity and support to generate quality evidence.
Our foundation evaluation policy sets out parameters for evaluation and explains how and why we use evaluation and where variation is warranted. We acknowledge the ongoing debate about evaluation methods in many fields in which we work. We avoid one-size-fits-all prescriptions and strive to make selective, high-quality evaluation an integral part of how we carry out our work.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT AT TECHNYMON
At Technymon continual improvement, efficiency enhancement and reorganisation activities are very essential, with these activities we identify & focus on them further to develop our organization better than before.
Our primary goal in Research & Development activities focuses along the following lines:
- To identify the exact areas and processes to be developed
- To create a roadmap by mentioning all the activities and target dates
- To identify the potentiality of the activities needed to be done both nationally and internationally
- To ensure strategic approvals & decision by the management
- To ensure that we carry out ‘Research and Development’ within the time frame
- To ensure optimal resource utilisation
- To identify the internal and external processes
HOW WE DEFINE R&D
For us
R&D is a method of investigation where it is assumed and expected that new technical and scientific knowledge will get discovered through technical efforts.
Basic Research is the theoretical activity that is carried out primarily to acquire new knowledge about the basis of phenomena and observations, with no view to special practical objectives or applications.
Applied Research is the activity of an original nature to acquire new knowledge, directed primarily at practical objectives/applications.
Development is the systematic work that applies existing knowledge with the aim of producing new materials and products and introducing new processes, methods, systems or services, or improving those that exist.
Flow
In GBT we follow the forward flow of information that initiates from Research and Development to provide information needed for Production which leads to new products for our Customers/Market.
We also follow the reverse flow which involves the activities to legally make a product similar or superior to one already available on the market.
