Technymon supplied its first plain bearing into the Italian market in 1975 and since then Technymon has broadened its plain bearing product range to all different fields of industries and applications. During the 1980’s the company started to focus more deeply on the automotive application, putting a remarkable level of effort into performance and product quality and as a result in these years Technymon successfully developed its business in a growing automotive industry and market.

In 1985 Technymon established a wear test laboratory in their in Italy based plant, which has since been used to various types of testing related to the many applications concerning the automotive industries, with a world-class research and development facility. Over the past decade our Research and Development team has taken ongoing efforts to enhance the wear test laboratory, and getting equipped with the latest design-modeling & simulation software, benchmarking equipment.

In Technymon we are continuously working on the tribological aspects to improve the frictional control technology, which will directly result into less wear and higher life span for plain bearings.
